A large, high minority, low income school district used the Seeing Stars® and Visualizing and Verbalizing® Programs to develop reading and comprehension skills. Their 3rd grade students improved from 49% to 79% proficient on a state-wide reading assessment, a 30-point gain! The district outperformed the state average by using the Seeing Stars® and Visualizing and Verbalizing® programs to develop the imagery-language connection for language and literacy skills.
