Types of Instruction
Learn more about the programmes that are utilised in our centres.
INSTRUCTION
Our daily, one-to-one instruction develops the underlying sensory-cognitive functions necessary for accurate reading, spelling, and comprehension skills, and is tailored to meet the needs of each individual student.  A Learning Potential Evaluation is required to begin instruction.
 
STANDARD INSTRUCTION
     ~ Student attends one to two instructional sessions per day.
     ~ Average instruction time is four to six months. 

INTENSIVE INSTRUCTION
     ~ Student attends three to six instructional sessions per day.
     ~ Average instruction time is 80-120 hours
 
THE "SCHOOL" PROGRAMME
     ~ Student attends six sessions per day.
     ~ Designed for students who have struggled in a traditional school setting.
     ~ Available during the school year only.
     ~ Significant discounts for six, eight, ten, and twelve weeks of instruction 
 
GROUP INSTRUCTION
     ~ Student attends two, three, or four sessions daily.
     ~ Student attends in a group of two to five students.
     ~ Space is based on availability of students with similar learning profiles.
     ~ Instruction is offered at a reduced rate.  

APPLICATION

As sensory-cognitive processing stabilizes, students may need help to apply their new skills to school work. Application is available to students who have completed instruction at one of our learning centres.

FOLLOW-UP INSTRUCTION
     ~ Tailored to individual needs and school requirements.
     ~ One to two instructional sessions per day.
     ~ Two or more days per week.

HOMEWORK MATTERS
     ~ Assists students to complete homework independently.
     ~ Small group instruction with individualised attention.
     ~ Student attends four instructional sessions per week.
     ~ Flexible scheduling.

ENRICHMENT
Enrichment offers students a head start as they enter a new grade or experience a new challenge.  Enrichment is not appropriate for students in need of remediation. 

ACADEMIC PREPARATION
     ~ Topics include writing, note taking, test taking strategies, and organisational skills.
     ~ Daily instruction four sessions per day for two weeks.

RECEPTION BOOST
     ~ Provides preparation for Reception.
     ~ Students receive one-to-one instruction for one session per day, two days per week.
     ~ Available to students who are four to six years old.
